The lodge has been pretty busy so far this year, and guests from
this past weekend had the following comments:

spent a fantastic weekend at Fizantakraal. The fishing was good, the food
was excellent and what can we say about the surroundings – simply splendid.
We were treated like royalty and quite frankly felt like it. Ryan and
Jenna simply excelled beyond and above all our expectations. They are an
absolutely fabulous team and do Liquid Horizon proud.
It really is absolutely one of our favourite places. One cannot say
enough about it.”

Something I feel requires a special mention. There seems to
be a perception that Fizantakraal's rates are high. On the contrary, almost
everyone who has actually visited the lodge has booked a return trip and their feedback is the exact opposite.
For a group of 8 guests the price works out
at R1250 per person per night in summer, and R1050 in winter. This includes all your fishing (private access to dams and streams), all meals and luxury
accommodation. The gourmet catering and service is out of this world. It is excellent value for money when
you consider what one would pay for just a room and breakfast at a standard hotel…
There also seems to be a perception that the lodge is only
available on weekends. However, this is not the case. While availability is fairly
limited due to the fact that it is a private lodge, weekdays and long stays are available
year round. We also offer a discount for visits of 4 nights or more.
Lower winter rates kick in from mid May, so if you are
looking for a cosy, luxurious winter fly fishing experience, now is your
chance!
Although the lodge is not available for day visits, we do
open the venue to groups for day events. Minimum 6 and maximum 30 guests can be accommodated. So if
you are looking for a new corporate event concept for your work colleagues, or just want to spend a day of fly fishing, food and wine
with your friends, this is a great option.

Liquid Horizon’s Graeme Field is heading off on 16 April to
explore an exciting new saltwater venue in the Indian Ocean. The area promises a huge variety of species and shots at really, really big fish. If all goes
according to plan, we will soon be offering VERY affordable fishing trips on
great boats with excellent South African guides.
